Yep that right I had another baby last year. I was in shock to say the least. so my boy is 1 and my daughter is 2 1/2 months. CRAZY!!! I am now back at work and learning how to juggle to small children, housework, teaching responsibilities, and crafting. I mean seriously, CRAFTING has to be in there. What a crazy few months it has been. Just shortly after doing that last post I found out I was pregnant. Well, My sweet baby is here and I LOVE him. He was born 2 day after Christmas and has been a complete joy. I hope to be working on videos again as soon as I get myself adjusted. I will try to post some of the things that I have been working on lately. For now, I will put a picture of my sweet boy.

Well, crafting was put on hold. I have been camping all weekend. It was great time. My church does Godstock. It is just great time for our entire church to come together and worship. I spent my time camping. I loved every minute of it. It was a great time. I can't wait to do it again. Crafting will hopefully begin tomorrow after I mow the grass. Well, got got for now. Well, I haven't done a Mojo in awhile. So, tonight I did it. I love the lay out. I did change it a little but that basic style is there. I made the middle pieces in the lengths in the layout but I put them down line the AT&T bars. LOL! I didnt stamp a saying so that I can use it at anytime. I hope that you enjoy it.

A Jelly Bean Project

I am working on an invitation right now. The wedding invites are on hold for a few days because the bride has moved the wedding back to February. Well, anyway, to day I thought I would give your the step by step directions to the Jelly Bean invitations that I have been working on.

The picture above is a piece of purple card stock that I bought from Hobby Lobby. It was cut at 8"x6" and Scored at 4".

This next picture is a piece of Paper Studio Paper (also bought at Hobby Lobby) that has been cut at 6 1/4" x 8 1/2".

Next, cut a scrap piece of cardstock (thick in texture) at 4 1/4" x 6 1/4". Place adhesive on one side. Then line it up with the designer paper.

Now, place adhesive on the other side of the scrap square. Fold the designer paper over. It should look like the picture above.

Now, take your purple 8x6 paper that you scored at 4" and fold it in half.

Cut out your Jelly Bean shape. I actually made a template that I used to cut my out. I just used some cheap white card stock to make the template.

Next, I used some pop dots from Hobby Lobby. I cut 2 pop dots in half. I place it on the the four edges of the jelly bean. Attach it to your designer paper square.

Once you have assembled your Jelly beans, Cut out on your Cricut the phrase of saying that you would like on your invitations. Feel free to stamp your images as well.

I can't believe it. I am going back to work today. We are having opening day. It feels like the summer has flown by. I am a little nervous but excited at the same time. I hope to get some crafting done tonight. The husband is working an 18 hour shift so got plenty of time. Anyway, better go. Happy Scrappin & Stampin'.

Modified Gift Card Holder

The other day I was on Angie's Chic N'Scratch website. I saw that she had made a gift card holder. I loved it so I tried it. I made it for my Stampin' Up card class and it was a hit among my card swappers. Well, today I needed to make a gift card holder for a friend and his birthday. So, I got an idea in my head and went with it. I am really excited as to how it turned out. I am attaching the pictures and then I am going to put the directions to the card. I hope that you enjoy.

This is the base card. It is cut at 6"x8" and scored at 4".

Here is the card folded.

Designer Paper was cut at 3 3/4"x 5 3/4".

This is a 3 5/8 x 6 1/2".

Seal the envelope.

Cut in half. You will be able to make 2 gift card holders when you are finished.

Use adhesive and glue all of the sides and middle. Place the envelop anywhere you would like in the card. I chose to put it on the left side of the card. Stamp the saying of your choice. I used the Stampin' UP Happy Birthday from Family Phrases.

This is the retired Stampin' Up image called Boat Loads of Love. I love this set. The white cardstock was cut at 3 1/2" x 5 1/2".

MOJO 95 and other stuff

Well, I thought I would show a few of my latest projects. The picture with the retired Boat Loads of Fun from Stampin up is a gift card holder that I saw from Chic N'Scratch live! It is really neat to make. I adjusted the measurements to work for my envelopes and stamp. The Thank you card and the gift card holder will be going with me to my card club next week. The other picture is my MOJO monday project. I have had it finished for a while I just got time to up load it.

On other news front, I have 2 weeks until I go back to work. I am really buckling down with getting all my new lessons ready for the new school year. It is hard to believe that my summer break is over. I would like to have 2 more weeks but OH, WELL! I am excited to meet my kids. Well, I am out of here for now. KEEP SCRAPPIN & STAMPIN!

Another Challenge

Alicia turned me on to a cool challenge. It is the Use It Challenge. Here is what the challenge said...
1. Use something inspired by nature.
(flowers, trees, animals, etc.)
I used a little bird sticker and some floral adhesive felt.
Feel free to use any kind of product you want
that reminds you of the outdoors!

2. Use polka dots.
On my card, I embossed the polka dots
on the white cardstock and also added
the polka dot ribbon and chipboard.

3. Use your favorite embellishment.
(ribbon, buttons, brads, bling, etc.)
It was impossible for me to pick only one favorite,
so I used several!

4. Mail your creation to someone special.
You'll make their day!
(Remember, you may need to add extra postage).

Here is my Mojo Monday Card. I think it turned out ok. I used the soon to be retired Stampin Up paper Rockabilly. The base card is 4 1/4 x 11, scored at 5 1/2. The black and white polka dot is cut at 5 1/2 x 1 1/4. The bottom measures 5 1/2 x 3. I bought the ribbon at Hobby Lobby in the scrapbook area but I will say that when they have ribbon on sale for 50% in the material area. YOu should go and snatch it up because it makes the rolls $1 for about 15ft of ribbon. Walmart sales their ribbon for 1.97 for 18ft. I have not purchased from papertray ink yet but I need too. I love the colors. The stamp set was a gift so I am not for sure where that was purchased from. I hope that you like my card.

Okay, I have been on several blogs and see these cute little animals made from punches. I think it started with Angie from Chic N' Scratch. Well, anyway, I thought that since some people out there may be new stampers or have Cricut's, they may want to know how to make them using what they have. I have made each animal using the Cricut is some way. I already have a few Stampin' Up punches so I used them when needed. I thought I would share what I did. I have been totally excited about the sun today. I have made a few projects despite the sun. I got both ideas from Stampin' with Dawn and Angie from Chic n'Scratch. I have made the flower pot card and the box and 6 thank you cards. They are so cute. I have to give my friend Michelle a shout out because she has let me use her cartridges and I am thankful to have the Mini Monogram just because of the scallop circle. I can make a scallop bigger than my scallop punch. Well, life is good.
Anyway, I have been toying around with becoming a Stampin' Up demonstrator. I absolutely love the products. The only thing that concerns me is "will I get people to buy from me" Can I make it work? I dont know. I mean so many of my friends buy from friends. I know that there is a market outside the circle of friends but you know how it is. You use your friends first to help you get started. I am going to pray and see if God says it is okay.
I do want to say that I am very thankful for God today. Today once again, he has shown me that he is amazing and gigantic and I can do nothing with out him. Jesus is so awesome. I just hope that I can show his light and not tarnish it. Jesus is the way!

I watched my favorite show The Biggest Loser. They had to run a marathon (26.2 miles). I hope to do that myself. It is a goal of mine. Well, work is getting a little better. I am determined to just stay in my 4 walls and not let the drama outside my classroom door affect me. I am going to try to not be a part of the mess. On a happier note, I am uploading a couple projects that I have worked on this past week. I made some bags for my WKU students. I gave them a few little "teacher" items. The other picture is of a card a made with colors chosen by the pink stamper. I have found that I am loving blogs. I have been reading all kinds of different blogs. I am learning alot. I need to just bite the bullet and make my own videos. I need to get brave.
OH, on a different note. A girl at church has asked me to make her 75 invitation and RSVP cards. She is going to pay me. I am totally excited. I am going to make a mock up and we will discuss the finished look. I am going to be like Debbie W. :)

I am so excited about the new projects that I have been working on. I have just finished 30 thank you cards for a girl at work. I am charging her extremely low but I a new to this. The other card is a picture of another card that I completed using The Pink Blogger Robyn color challenge.

Today was church and it was awesome. I was so excited when Darla sang Shadowfeet. I love that song. It was a great day of worship. Steve stuck to the topic and keep a great message.

New Card

I am following The Pink Stamper and she is having challenge to make a card using certain colors. So I thought I would give it a shot. I made the card and I love it. I used the cricut to cut out the wheel barrel from "Walk in the Park" cartridge.

She decided to jump off the swing and fell on her face. She is fine but I think I got new gray hairs because of it.

Today I saw my best friend's baby get dedicated. She was beautiful. I am hoping to post some pictures in a few minutes of that moment. Well, I am going to get back on the work out horse. I have really got to push myself tomorrow. I have card club and so I am going to have to move quickly out of work. I am going to get myself sweating hard. I am hoping to get some projects completed today and then I will post those as well.
I was thinking about making some things and selling them. I have had several people at work ask me if I would make and sell cards. I mean that would be a really awesome side money if that could happen. We will see. Well, I will post later.

Crafting Day

Well, today I have be chillaxin'. I have been making cards all day. I have had the best time. The only bummer of the day is the fact that my lawn mower died. Daniel was mowing and got the back and one side of the house finished. He made one line in the front yard and it died. Now we have a jacked up lookin yard. It is quiet amusing.

I thought that I would upload pictures of the cards I made. One is using the Good Egg stamp set from STampin Up. One is an easter card for my brother (has the flowers). The last one is a waterfall card that I saw on you tube. The picture of the 5 little cards is a gift I gave a friend. They are thank you cards.

Easter Dance

Hey everyone! I am so excited about the Easter Dance at church. I am feeling such a presence over it. It is going to be awesome. So I invite any who want to come to Hillvue Heights church to come on down. It will be a great worship experience.

Well, on the weight loss front. I have been doing good on my calories. Today we did 3 hours of dancing. So I am very tired to say the least. I bought my new scale and I like it but I am ready to see that number go down it. I have to remind myself that it is not the fastest who wins the race. Well, I am going to go to bed now. Well, the first week back to work was good. Friday's are killers though. The kids are chatter boxes. I have been excited to get to scrappin this weekend or stampin'. I cant decide. I just know that I am going to relax.

I am excited to say that I am back on the biggest loser club again. I am in a 6 week challenge. I am going to do everything in my power to well on this challenge. I need to buy a scale though (yuck!). The club makes you weigh every week and I am tired of the gym scale telling me that I am one weight one day and another the next. So, got to look at the finances and see what we can afford. I am heading to the gym later today to work out. I am determined to drop a dress size this summer or year. I am just going to do it. The hardest part is giving up sugar. That is really hard.

Out of curiosity, how many are going to be at the NSW. I was going to work on my stamp pages. I am going to make 12 but we will see if i need more. Well, enough for now.

Back to School

Well, I had a great time this weekend scrapbooking. Although I didn't get finished with as much as I usually do, it was fun to watch Betty use my scallop punch on so many cute paper. LOL!

I was back at work today. The kids were so excited to see me. I wasn't expecting that. They had a great break and were ready to work hard. I hope the last 46 days of school go as well as today.

Water Aerobics Class!

I just took a water aerobics class. It was awesome! I didn't get cold once. All the other classes I have taken, I am freezing about 30 minutes in to it. I would recommend anyone going to Total Fitness on Russellville Road and take Melissa's class.
My day was okay at work. It was very long because I had no break from the kids. I had to get everything ready and hope I didn't forget anything. When lunch is the only break, it makes the day long. But it was still a good day.

A Short Weekend

Well, another weekend has come and gone. I have worked on Lesson Plans to get ready for the next week. I am looking forward to Godstock. I will be camping and sleeping outdoors. Anyway, I had a great time shopping with Michelle. She found a great pair of capri pants. See ya soon.

Second Week of School

I am really enjoying the students in my class this week. I have a cute little boy who talks of nothing but cowboys and he gets really sad when you say you don't like them. They have such personality.
Everything has been going well and I am trying to enjoy life. I am ready for another great weekend of scrappin' except this time I think I am going to scrap for friday and saturday.
I walk past the cricket the other day at Walmart. All I could think is you will be mine soon. Oh, by the way, there was some cricket cartridges on clearance. It may be some you have already seen. Just wanted to share. See ya soon!

The First Week of School

Well, I have made it through my first week of school. They seem like really sweet kids. I am ready for a great year. I am already tired though. I am ready to scrapbook and relax too. I will be looking for time to scrap as much as possible. See ya later next week.

Been Busy!

Well, it has been a long time since I have gotten to write. But I am really excited to get to scrapbook this weekend. I can not wait.
Today was my husband's birthday. I had the family over and grilled out. It was fun. Especially since Daniel doesn't celebrate his birthday. He didn't know anyone was coming until right before they showed up. It was a lot of fun.

Lake Fun

Today was a great day! The whole family headed to the lake. We rented a pontoon(spelling is questionable). Our friend David and Gretchen came with their boat. Daniel went tubing and got beat up pretty bad. The nieces were on the tube too. Renee had a blast. it was lots of fun. Daniel is sunburned but I am not. I have just gotten a little more color. My face is a little red. Anyway, we had fun even when it rained a little.

Hello Again! Well, the fireworks have finally stopped in the neighborhood and the street is silent. I went to a cookout at Ron's Parents house (Randy and Sally). It was an okay time. Chelle and I were bored so she started doing charades. My husband did good at guessing her clues. We were okay until the crazy people at the cookout decided to shoot fireworks. I really don't like them close up. Anyway, it is over and I am glad to celebrate another year of America.

Wednesday Hump day!

This has been a long afternoon. The beginning of the day went well. I worked out, finished laundry, and so forth. I went to the pool at a friend's parents house. I got sunburned. NOT FUN! Then the husband came home in a bad mood. He worries so much about money and silly stuff that it makes me crazy. Ladies, do your men do this? What is that about? Well, I love him but he kills me sometimes. I guess he will be in better spirits after a game of Call of Duty 4.

Tiny Tuesday

The work has begun. I have been working on my classroom. It is so cute. I am doing a Monkey theme. I will try to remember to take pictures to show. It is nice to have most of the work finished before the the middle of July.
Things are looking up for my husband. He has 3 or 4 new clients. I hope that they close soon. It would be nice to have the money in the bank. So if anyone needs to refinance your home or want to buy a new one, just let me know.

Saturday Boredom

Man, this day has been boring. I hate days like that. My husband loves it because he likes to chill in his recliner after working all week. Well, I am bored. I would have scrapbooked but I don't have a lot of items to scrapbook with. I have to wait a few more weeks before I get the chance to scrapbook.
I guess I will spend the rest of the day working on items for my classroom. I am slowly working on the summer to do list. Well i will write more later.

What a Weekend!

I have a had a great day. I went to church and visited a new bible study class. It was interesting to say the least. Anyway, after church I had a lot of people at my house. My sister-n-law had her father in from California. It was 3:15 before everyone left the house. Thank goodness for Michelle and her pool. That made the afternoon a little better.

Saturday was a good time as well. Lisa (a girl I meet from England) came in and surprised all of us. She was coming to pick up her items she left here. I really enjoyed seeing her. We layed out by the pool for 6 hours. i was surprised that i didn't get burned.

My In laws got a new puppy. It is a miniature puppy. It is so cute. They named it sweety. i will have to take a picture of it and put it on my blog. Well, I will write later.

Wednesday Hump

Well, I got to work in my classroom this afternoon. I got most of the furniture back in place. I am going on a business trip next week so I want to get the room finished so I dont have to deal with it in July. We will see how far that gets me.

Am excited that I have lost another 6 inches off my waist. That is a total of 16 inches total. I am really working out hard at the gym. Today was a wierd day at the gym. A older man just stood in my personal space while I was lifting weights. i think he wanted my dumbells but I was not giving them up until I was finished. It was creepy.

Summer Break

Well, It has been a while since my last post. It is offically summer and I am truly enjoying my time off. I have been working out like crazy. I am trying to jog 12 to 15 miles a week. My husband's new job is going well. He is trying to make contacts now. He is working for Equity Financial Mortage and has learned a lot in a short time. So, If you know people send them his way.
I am already working on things for next year but with it being summer I get to do it on my own time. I just needed sometime to relax. I need to get more scrapbook items so that I can relax in that way when school is back in August. Well that is all for today. God Bless!

First Day of Summer Break!

It is hard to believe that I am offically on summer break. I am so excited. I need time to just relax. I am so looking forward to the next 8 weeks.
For those who don't know, my husband has a job. He is working for Equity Mortage. So if you know anyone who wants a house send them his way. He can help with the loan process.

I had a great time scrapbooking this weekend. It was a lot of fun. I have to order more pictures though. I need to scrapbook lots more to get caught up. I will be glad to get finished with my creative memories album. I am tired of cutting my paper down. Anyway, it is always stress free to scrapbook.

Last Night's Fun

Well, I tried singing last night and it was exactly like I thought. Pastor Keith said, "You have half a voice. Let's not push it." I just told him I agree and I loved him for making that decision. I really let myself down but if your voice is weak right now you have to protect it so that you can use in a powerful way later. To day will be a lot of fun at school. The children are going to have an award ceremony. Then after that we are going to build French buildings out of craft sticks. It should be a fun time.

Monday Again

Another Monday is here again. It hasn't been a bad day. At least I have a voice today. it would have made teaching a real struggle if the voice was gone. I just hope that it will heal in time to sing on Wednesday. I love watching the people when i sing. It makes you feel good when you know that what your are doing is drawing someone close to God.

Well we had some great friends over last night. I always enjoy having friends over. The week is my chance to have fun, relax, and catch up with their weeks. It was a great night except for the football and freesbies thrown at the girls heads.

What a time to get sick? I have 7 days to teach in this school year and I come down with a sinus infection. I am losing my voice which is awesome (not really) because I am suppose to sing for 3 services at church and 1 on Wednesday night. I am praying for the Lord to heal me quickly. I wish I could take a nap.

A New Blog and a Wonderful Life

Well, I am sitting at my desk here at school and my students are working on some Math. I can't believe that in 9 short days I will be finished teaching for another year. I need a break and so do my kids. We have been working non stop since August.

I want to thank my friend Michelle for inspiring me to create a blog. This will be a chance for me to express the things happening in my life and just to here from the world. I hope that you will come back and read it often and send me comments.
